Information sheet on data protection applicable for natural persons (consumers and sole proprietors).

The following applies to borrowers, whose loans may be purchased by BAWAG P.S.K. Bank für Arbeit und Wirtschaft und Österreichische Postsparkasse Aktiengesellschaft (BAWAG P.S.K.), where BAWAG P.S.K. acts as an investor via Peer Street, Inc. This information sheet informs you about the processing of your personal data by BAWAG P.S.K. and your claims and rights under Austrian Data Protection Law.

  • For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process data? Who receives my data?

    As an investor, we (BAWAG P.S.K.) receive personal data from Peer Street, Inc. We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act to fulfil legal obligations (Art. 6 Para. 1c GDPR) and to be able to cooperate with regulators.For this purpose, we process your name, address, date and place of birth, register data, credit data, information about your financial status (e.g. scoring or rating data) and data for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. We will only process and disclose your personal data if there is a legal obligation for us to do so.In order to comply with relevant laws and regulations and fulfill our regulatory obligations, we may need to disclose your personal data to government institutions or supervisory authorities (e.g. European banking supervisory authority, European Central Bank, Austrian Financial Market Supervisory Authority).

  • How long is my data stored?

    We process your personal data for the duration of the entire business relationship (from initiation, throughout processing until the end of a contract) and also beyond this in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations.

  • What data protection rights do I have?

    You have, at any time, a right to request access, correction or erasure of your personal data or restriction of the processing of your stored data, a right to object to processing and a right to data portability in accordance with the requirements of data protection law. Complaints can be sent to the Austrian data protection authority (dsb@dsb.gv.at).
